Lash Box LA means so many things to so many people. To me, it means community, support, self-love, and freedom.
In this industry, artists often lash to the beat of their own drum. A lot of the time, we’re alone with a client in a suite or a back room of a salon. In general, you don’t get much feeling of community in the lash world. When I found Lash Box LA, I felt like I found a place to belong. There truly is a community of Lash Box LA artists, there to support one another and lift each other up. I’ve often heard the phrase, “collaboration above competition," and the artists at Lash Box live up to that 100%. In the beauty industry, I’ve seen my fair share of catty stylists stealing clients to make an extra buck. That’s not the vibe I get from anyone I’ve met at LBLA. Lash Box is a safe place to learn, to make mistakes, to be human, and most importantly, to grow!
The support I’ve received from the team at Lash Box has been incredibly valuable to my growth, both as an artist and as a person. It can be tricky as a new artist trying to navigate the industry; how to set prices, how to attract new clients, how instagram works, et cetera... I know that if I have a question about anything lash related, I can pick up the phone and there will be someone there to answer. There is always an encouraging word, a helpful critique, or a fresh new idea from another talented lash artist. I’ve sent Tress a video of me testing out a new tweezer and failing spectacularly, asking, “what am in doing wrong?!” And of course she answered and told me exactly what I needed to do! I know that everyone at Lash Box LA wants me to succeed, all the way up to the President and Vice President of the company, Kate and Sylwia. LBLA was created BY lash artists FOR lash artists, and every product and technique was designed to make lashing easier and faster!

On a personal note, I struggled with addiction and depression for most of my life before seeking help a few years ago. My self-worth was pretty much non-existent, even right after I got sober. When a person is in active addiction, it’s very hard to see yourself clearly, much less love yourself. Being able to love yourself and see value in yourself is crucial to living a healthy, successful, and fulfilling life. It’s been a lot of work getting to where I am now and I have to say that LBLA definitely played a role in helping me to see my worth as an artist with a voice and a message.
This last one, freedom, is also my WHY. The freedom I have now, having found Lash Box, and implemented their techniques and products into my lash life, is priceless. Before I found LBLA, I was doing $30 classic fills, ten hours a day, five to six days a week. I was burning the candle at both ends trying to get ahead and thinking, I’m working way too hard to be making so little money! I’ve since raised my prices significantly, and I only schedule three days a week. Not only am I making more money now, I have the FREEDOM to travel. I’ve always wanted to travel and see the world, and now I am doing it! Freedom from the Monday- Friday 9-5, working 50 weeks a year with 2 weeks vacation. That’s not a life I ever wanted to live. I’m getting to live NOW and do all the things most people wait to do until they’re retired. Lash Box LA has played a huge role in helping me achieve the lifestyle I’ve always dreamed of having.
