How do I know what tweezer shape is right for me?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer — it’s all about comfort and control. LashBox LA offers a variety of shapes like Boot, L, J, and M tweezers. Many beginners start with a Boot tweezer, but as your technique evolves, you’ll find what feels most natural. The key is to test different shapes until you find the one that fits your hand and style best.
Why are my tweezers not working?
This usually comes down to one of three things:
- Glue on the tip – Even a little can stop your tweezers from gripping properly.
- Bent or damaged tips – Always store tweezers safely to protect alignment.
- Filed or scratched insides – Never use a nail file or anything abrasive inside the tips; it ruins precision and grip.
I ordered the same tweezers, but they seem slightly different — why?
All LashBox LA tweezers are handmade, not mass-produced by machines. Because of this craftsmanship, small variations can occur — but each pair is precision-tested for quality and performance. If you ever experience an issue, our team is happy to help at contact@lashboxla.com.
Do these tweezers work with all lash diameters?
Yes! Our tweezers are designed to work with all lash diameters — from ultra-light 0.02 lashes to thicker 0.15 classics. Each pair is built for control, flexibility, and a consistent sweet spot.
Do I need different tweezers for different lash styles or sets?
Not necessarily — but certain shapes can make specific looks easier. For example, Boot or Fiber Grip tweezers are great for volume and pre-made fans, while M-shaped tweezers offer precision and comfort for long lashing sessions.
What tweezers work best for premade or Y lashes?
Our Fiber Grip or Boot-style tweezers are perfect for picking up and placing premade or Y lashes. Their micro-texture/ special etching helps hold the fan securely without slipping or crushing the base.
What does “flexible tweezer” mean?
Flexible tweezers were specially engineered by our founder, Sylwia Walus, who created the Flower Bouquet Technique®.
Unlike stiff tweezers that just open and close, these have a slight spring in the center, allowing the tips to stay closed while the middle releases slightly.
- 50% pressure = a small opening to release pressure in tweezer
- 100% pressure = the tweezer fully closes to hold the fan securely.
This flexibility makes it possible to create perfect fans in just 3 seconds with our system.
What’s the difference between Fiber Grip and Smooth Tip tweezers?
Both are flexible and compatible with the Flower Bouquet Technique®.
- Fiber Grip: Has a micro-textured circular pattern for stronger hold and a larger sweet spot — ideal for fast, consistent pickup.
- Smooth Tip: Sleek, polished finish with a slightly smaller sweet spot — perfect for those who prefer a lighter, softer feel.
How do I keep my tweezers in good condition?
Always clean them after each use, avoid dropping or over-tightening them, and store them in a protective case. Regular care keeps your grip consistent and extends their lifespan.
How often should I replace my tweezers?
With proper care, LashBox LA tweezers can last for years. Replace them only if they become misaligned, lose tension, or stop closing evenly. High-quality tools are an investment — the better you treat them, the longer they’ll support your artistry.
